WOW! I still can’t believe it…
It was 25 years ago when I graduated from high school. In July 2010, my class, the Class of ‘85, will be celebrating our 25 year reunion.
It’s hard to believe…
25 years ago I graduated from high school. Where did the time go… so fast?
My friends and I obtained a great education and had a REAL GOOD time in the process.
Marlon and Some Friends in High School
Today was really interesting because I spoke to my high school friend Brian and we joked, laughed and shared memories from 25+ years ago.
Isn’t it amazing how time can just roll by so quickly? And during our life journey, we accumulate special memories that last forever into the future.
The reason why I was reflecting so much today was because in addition to speaking with my high school friend, my wife Syreeta and I attended a program that shared different educational opportunities for our children.
Wow!… 25 years ago I graduated from high school and now my wife and I are doing our due diligence to determine the best educational options for our children.
My sincere desire for my children is that the will develop a healthy confidence in their abilities while being secure with who they are as individuals.
Truth be told, I believe my children will excel academically in a private school, charter school, public school, or home school environment. I just do. What I’m more focused on is that they develop a strong self-awareness, inner belief, and unwavering values so that regardless of the peer pressure that attempts to influence them, they will stand and not fall.
And hopefully, when they are about to celebrate their 25-year, high school reunion, they will also have TRUE friendships that are built on respect, trust, and honesty.
